Taking a Look at Tucson Greyhounds for Tuesday Night

Tonight's 4th race has a nice value play on #1, Red I Overton. This greyhound has good times and a good grade average, but not quite the best in the field. Two other factors make this dog the best value play. First, the #1 box is the strongest box at this distance and grade, according to tonight's Stat Force sheet. The #1 box has been winning 18.41% of races lately. And secondly, Red I Overton likes the inside boxes. In 21 inside starts, Red I Overton has 6 wins, 2 seconds and a third. That's nearly 30% wins from the inside. And Red I Overton should benefit as a rail runner when the #2 and #4 greyhounds both run wide.

The 5th race tonight offers a good play on #2, Koyote Rattler. This greyhound has the top-rated variant-adjusted times, along with the highest grade average. This is another dog with some late speed, and Koyote Rattler may actually have a break advantage over the #1 and #3 runners tonight, due to the class advantage.

You'll find an interesting handicap in the 7th race tonight, a TA race on the 5/16ths course. #5, Clever Shelly, has a huge speed advantage. Clever Shelly is over four lengths faster than the next-best runner. And Clever Shelly has a good post record, winning 4 out of 9 starts from the tough 4/5/6 area. Clever Shelly also shows some late speed, and will be a good play in all slots in the exotics.

The 9th race tonight is a grade A contest. The favorite should be #2, Bella Pericles. This greyhound easily has the best adjusted time averages, and the best late speed in the field. Bella Pericles has an incredible post record: 21/11-3-2-2. That's better than 52% wins from the 1/2/3 area. You might consider using #6, Kiowa Barfly, as a secondary key if you want to keep your exotics narrow and deep in this race.

That's a glance at some of the races on tonight's late card at Tucson. I would like to invite all of our Premium Members to take advantage of their free Stat Force, Stat Attack, and Tip Sheet for this card, and enjoy a night of handicapping these Arizona runners. See you all at the races!
